At the corner of fifth and main
theres a big store. A commercial chain.
A big store filled with it all
Bag of chips, wool sweater, a bouncy ball!
In that store, there is a place
A resturant to the shoppers in that rat race.
I visited that store, just today.
Its a dreary place, I'm afraid to say.
Old signs, boring signs. All signs.
Lame tables, 80s menus, all grey lines.
Even the air was depressing a bit
It felt of grey, but I needed a good sit!
It was then I saw her, to my surprise
A young woman with that grey in her eyes.
She took my order, a drink and a snack
but I kept staring, for that I have a nack.
She blended with this

I sit in my chair, feet firm on the floor.
I read a book, and do nothing more
I hear a great creaking at my door.
I walk to see its just wind and nothing more
I sit on a couch, and read more my lore.
The book is boring, just words and nothing more.
A hear a footstep at my door.

I begin to worry, and think of gore
Who is hunting me? Just my imagination and nothing more.
Beads of sweat drip more and more
Its just stupid fears, and nothing more
I hear a knocking, gentle on my door.
The end has surely come, and nothing more.
